SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
GS-07: Experience with purchase orders, payment processing within an accounting system, and Prompt Pay Act.
GS- 06: Experience payment processing within an accounting system.
GS-05: Experience, education, or training involving arithmetic principles, attention to detail, and application of established procedures for recording and compiling data.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Your application and resume should demonstrate that you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). You are NOT required to provide a separate narrative written response. Rather, you must describe in your application how your past work experience demonstrates that you possess the KSAs identified below.
- Ability to prepare, review, and analyze financial reports (i.e., Invoices on Hold report, Unapplied Receipts report, AIR Aging report) and statements and explain changes from previous reporting periods.
- Ability to effectively communicate, through oral briefings and/or written reports, to meet targeted audiences requirements for appropriate and timely information.
- Skill and ability to balance and reconcile detail and summary accounts (customer accounts with multiple projects) within the accounting segment and with related accounts and records maintained in other groups.
- Knowledge of an extensive body of regulations, rules, procedures, and practices (Treasury, FTR, GAO, CG Decisions, Prompt Pay and Procurement) to advise on a variety of types of vouchers/claims having unique processing situations and complicating characteristics.

For this position at the GS-06 & GS-07, education cannot be substituted for experience.

Your application will be rated by our application system using the Category Rating procedure. A quality review will then be conducted by the HR Office and/or Subject Matter Expert (SME). Your application is rated based on the extent and quality of your experience, education (if applicable to the job), and training described in your online resume/questionnaire as related to the duties of this position. The quality categories are defined as "Best Qualified", "Well Qualified" and "Qualified". Within each category, veteran preference eligibles will be listed at the top of the category. CP/CPS veterans are placed at the top of the highest category for all positions except professional and scientific positions at GS-9 and above.
