The position is responsible for directing and managing the Accounts Payable staff to provide accurate and timely processing and disbursement of vendor obligations and ensure the integrity of their financial accounting
system. The position is responsible for managing the Pcard, Travel Card and employee reimbursement processes. The management of the Accounts Payable staff includes hiring, training, assigning and directing the work flow of the staff. In addition, the Accounts Payable Manager is required to establish internal controls and procedures to protect the assets of the company and determine new controls or procedures that address the growth of the company. This position interacts on a regular basis with upper management and external customers as well as other internal customer departments to integrate solutions that meet the company's goals both financially and operationally. Other responsibilities include approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, disaster recovery planning and month end closing deadlines.
Experience in an electronic accounts payable processing environment.
Experience in a multi-location company including Canada preferred.
Experience in the high technology sector is preferred.
Experience with Concur expense reimbursement system
Experience with credit card processing (Pcard and/or Travel Card)
Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting or Finance or related discipline.
10+ years of experience working in an Accounting department with high visibility.
10+ years of experience with accounts payable processing.
5+ years of supervisory experience.
Solid understanding of GAAP.
Demonstrated experience with project management and process improvement.
Experience with the set up and maintenance of the vendor master file.
Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, Word.
Proven systems integration experience including planning, evaluation and implementation.
Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables.
Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressure environment.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Team oriented person who can focus both on the details and the "big picture".
Ability to proactively manage and implement new processes.
The ability to affect and implement change in a rapidly changing organization.
