Job Summary: 

The Agronomy Marketing Manager serves as the key contact for MicroSource Agronomy marketing efforts for assigned sales and marketing territory.  Develop strategies for growth and profit of assigned

customers through identifying appropriate markets, targeted customers, and differentiated offerings.  The Agronomy Marketing Manager will work with the MicroSource sales staff to equate values of premium precision ag products and growing marketing efforts of the MicroSource sales team. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

•         Responsible for growing marketing efforts of in-furrow starter fertilizers, micro-nutrients, nitrogen stabilizers, and adjuvants

•         Support internal sales team and customers in assigned territory

•         Work with sales team to equate values of premium precision ag products

•         Engages assigned customers in annual strategic marketing planning and creates an annual agronomy marketing plan with individual customer goals in mind

•         Produce corporate marketing materials, reports, and presentations

•         Responsible for increasing marketing efforts through the entire product base

•         Manage field trials and protocols

  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments

Other Job Functions:

 

•         Ensures all required reports and communication is prepared regularly

•         Other tasks as assigned my management

 

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Ability to work and interact well with others
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Agriculture, or other business equivalent
  • Master’s degree in soil-science field preferred
  • Prior experience in micro-nutrients and/or agri-chemicals/adjuvants
  • Certified Crop Consultant a plus
  • Agronomy experience preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in Agronomy/Ag Marketing
  • Experience developing marketing material and formal presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Works well in fast-paced work environment

 

Special Demands:

 

•         Frequent travel up to 50% of business workweek, varies by season, by rental car and/or airfare for customer visits, trade shows, expansion projects, etc.

•         Frequent periods sitting in office environment using standard office equipment
