SUMMARY

The EDI Support will develop translation mappings for EDI group and support business EDI flow by troubleshooting and correcting communication and data errors. Development activities specific to translation mapping will be

utilized. Provide input into the design and translation of the mapping solutions as required. Troubleshooting activities support business by ensuring EDI communication. Mentor other support staff as necessary to ensure quality solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop EDI mappings according to established standards and best practices.
Participate in the design, and help solution, EDI translations.
Create documents and provide assistance to Quality Assurance test of EDI changes.
Proactively take measures for streamlined operations, maintain system integrity, and guarantee continuous business function
Interact with intracompany and external contacts to provide analysis of EDI message flow.
Be adaptive and strike a good balance between speed and efficiency
Develop a deep understanding of the system, write technical specifications, mentor support team, and adhere to translation standards
Contribute to mapping reviews as necessary

DOCUMENTATION:
Creating documentation for new and existing applications or procedures (operations, user, and programmers).
Writing clear instructions to users regarding problem resolutions or installation of fixes and releases. Writing clear descriptions to aid other individuals or groups in problem resolution.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Keeps work area neat, clean and hazard free.
  • Must work in other areas, as needed for cross training and/or workload.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior member of the team you may be managing tasks assigned to other members within the team.
Ability to lead complex initiatives and project teams.
Ability to communicate topics and concepts to the EDI team and a diverse audience.
Ability to handle multiple overlapping projects and competing deadlines within the EDI team.
Strong time management, attention to detail and communications skills with the EDI team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience mapping EDI interfaces and developing and promoting mapping changes in production environments.
Proficiency with EDI message structures and data values
Excellent written, verbal, team and presentation skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Four (4) year degree, advanced degree preferred.
Technical experience in some or all of the following:
  • EDI mapping required, Dell Boomi Mapping, GXS AI Mapping, and/or Microsoft BizTalk Mapping preferred
  • EDI Supply Chain preferred
  • Experience in .Net technologies, preferably 4.0 versions, C#, WCF, Visual Studio 2010/2012, TFS preferred.
