Summary
The Human Resource Specialist is primarily responsible for facilitating all recruiting and onboarding tasks for potential and new Team Members. The Human Resource Specialist will update the TGS Management website

with open positions, review applications, and conduct interviews. This position also assists with the implementation and management of new hire orientation. The Human Resource Specialist will oversee the entire onboarding process for each Team Member by delivering information and answering questions regarding the employment handbook, benefit packages, health insurance, paid time off, or other pertinent information necessary for new Team Members. The Human Resource Specialist will report to the HR Coordinator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, courteous and compassionate demeanor at all times
  • Adhere to company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information with regard to the company and its Team Members
  • Coordinates and schedules start times for onboarding TGS, TGSM, NectarBee, and S-Type Armored Team Members
  • Responsible for scheduling all new hire orientations with onboarding staff by sending reminder e-mails and coordinating all necessary paperwork before Team Member start date
  • Conduct new hire orientation with onboarding staff by going over the employee handbook, benefit packages, healthcare options, paid time off and employee discounts through demonstration utilizing training software
  • Conduct basic health and safety training programs to ensure proper knowledge of all safety procedures required by TGS and its subsidiaries
  • Communicate new Team Member start dates with facility Managers to ensure a smooth onboarding process
  • Handle issuance of all required materials by new employees
  • Responsible for recordkeeping all pertinent new hire documentation
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding initiatives
  • Update website to display all open positions within the company
  • Assess application qualifications for all open positions
  • Schedule and conduct interviews with potential candidates
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers based upon candidate’s qualifications and recommendations
  • Track all company promotions, hirings, firings, and transfers to ensure company hierarchy is up-to-date
  • Prepares and distributes offer letters
  • Ensures all applicable background checks have been completed
  • Serves as coordinator to recruiters/hiring managers in assessing and improving on-boarding processes
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications Education

  • College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent field required

Training

  • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED), Department of Labor, and any other applicable regulatory agency
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and procedures of TGS Management

Skills & Experience

  • Certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or other designations
  • Familiarity with human resources, common employment best practices, and/or labor laws preferred
  • Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
  • Sourcing/Recruiting experience strongly preferred
  • Outgoing, charismatic and well spoken
