Job Overview
The primary task of the position is to ensure all food is prepared and executed to the executive chef's specifications. The position also requires to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Line cooks are required to follow all recipes and produce a consistent product as demonstrated by senior chefs.

General Responsibilities
• Set up and supply stations with the necessary product and supplies
• Prepare all food for service (butchering of meats, chopping vegetables, preparing sauces etc.)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Provide assistance with the preparation and execution of family meal
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chefs instructions
• Stock inventory properly
• Ensure that all food comes out simultaneously in high quality and a timely fashion
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with other co-workers and members
• Adhere to all grooming and uniform standards

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Culinary school diploma or certificate
• Two or more years of previous line cook experience
• Serve-safe certification or food handlers card
• Positive interpersonal skills required
• Must speak, read and write some English

Physical Requirements
• Identify and distinguish colors
• Walking and/or standing for long periods of time
• Able to lift 20-50 pounds on a regular basis
• Continual use of fine manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
• Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly

Working Conditions
• May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on service area
• Varied weather conditions are expected
• Will work near mechanical equipment and hot surfaces
• Will work with aerosol and other cleaning chemicals
• Varied schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictat
