We are seeking a talented Pharmacy Courier to join our Pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Courier is a public representation of the organization, providing direct contact between the organization and clientele. The person(s) filling this position will transport prescriptions to and from our pharmacy and our patients. In addition this position will be picking up written prescriptions from Clinics and transporting them to the Pharmacy. This individual occupies a very visual position and must present themselves accordingly.
Daily operation of your own vehicle.
Vehicle must be in good working condition, and operates reliably
Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Filled prescriptions ready for delivery to be picked up at a designated FedEx location each morning at 10:30 AM
Delivery of filled prescriptions to customers from 10:30 AM to completion. Calling next delivery patient to provide estimated time of arrival.
Pick up written prescriptions from designated Clinics at agreed upon times, and transport to Pharmacy along with any undelivered prescriptions from that day.
Public contact and appropriate representation of Cordant Pharmacy
Deliveries or pickups as requested by the Pharmacy
Special projects as assigned
All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Must be 21 yrs. or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be HIPAA Certified
Will be required to submit to mandatory drug and background screens
Required to have a valid driver's license for the purpose of operating a motorized vehicle
Must have a good driving record
No violations in the past year
No more than two moving violations in the past 36 months
No history of felony motor vehicle convictions
No history of DUI convictions or diversions
Zero at-fault accidents in the past 36 months
Must possess knowledge of the demographic area
Previous experience in the delivery/courier functions is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess good and consistent public relations skills
Demonstrably appealing customer service skills
Must be self-motivated and responsible requiring minimal supervision
Effective utilization of time and resources
Able to self-monitor and self-assess
Must have basic computer proficiency and the ability to prioritize work volumes
Possess the ability to learn new skills quickly and effectively
Command of the spoken and written word
Able to provide urgent support to other staff members if needed
Must be detail oriented
Without hesitation act as a ‘team-player’
Must have and be able to maintain a positive personality and stay calm under pressure
Consistent lifting of supplies with weights up to 45 lbs.
The ability to lift bulky containers up to 45 lbs.
Periods of walking
May require standing for long periods of time
Repetitive motions and/or prolonged computer use
Working at a fast pace, subject to many interruptions and both physical and mental stress
When appropriate, must wear provided appropriate personal protective equipment to include lab coat, gloves and face shield
Air-conditioned laboratory environment
Exposure to some odorous chemicals and specimens
