MarketSource is currently searching for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team.
The Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for managing and leading all day-to-day operations functions for our client's retail program. He/she is responsible for all program systems, metrics, and technology. This position requires a combination of sales, operations, technology, and management experience for large-scale programs and teams. The Sr. Operations Manager hires, trains, and leads the Sr. Operations Team including the Analytics team. This individual is responsible for maintaining a positive client relationship in the arena of operations and field execution. He/she is the Champion for all process improvements and technology related to the client's evolving needs. This individual requires a strong background in data management and reporting functions as this team produces client facing and internal use reports to manage the business on behalf of the customer.

Responsibilities/Duties:
* Responsible for leading a team of analysts who produce business intelligence and results oriented reports of both a client facing and internal use perspective
* Liaison between client services and internal IT department
* Work with client to define data insight needs and sets up the business process and technology to capture and report on these needs
* Proactively reaches out to the business leadership (ED, SD, Area Directors and District Managers) to determine their needs in reporting and technology and develops the process and technology to meet those needs
* Possess a strong understanding of data management and reporting practices (SQL, Excel, Crystal, etc)

Operations Management
* Ensure development of process improvements for program execution
* Responsible for creation of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) guides and handbooks
* Work with our client, MarketSource field teams, and MarketSource IT to identify the business needs for Natural Insight future enhancements and development
* Engage with our client's vendors to develop the best possible strategies to execute field initiatives
* Ensure proper operations are designed and implemented for asset management

Leadership
* Responsible for client relationship and MarketSource staff
* Hire, train, and coach Operations Team which consists of Business Analytics employees
* Motivate staff to deliver consistent high-level performance
* Minimize program turnover

Client Relationship
* Serves as the client's day-to-day contact for their business unit
* Provide client with proactive recommendations for program improvements
* Ensures alignment of client directives and Operations execution

Technology
* Champion and ensure development of new systems and technology to meet the evolving program needs
* Manage relationship with IT to ensure proper technology support of our client's program
* Primary point of contact for team regarding systems and technology

Other Duties
* Review all client communications
* Create program roll-out and launch communications
* Create internal communications for MarketSource
* National field travel, approximately 25% travel (often with short notice) with some overnight travel and/or airline travel required

Education and Work Experience:
* Four year college degree or equivalent work experience
* 3+ years senior leadership experience managing multiple level of employees (i.e. leading managers)
* 3-5+ years' experience in retail management (big box retail, preferred)
* Strong reporting and data management experience (SQL, Crystal, Excel, etc.)
* Solid background in Excel and PowerPoint
* Proactive and positive can-do attitude
* Critical thinker with excellent problem solving skills
* Proven and demonstrated experience with strong relationship building skills
* Demonstrated operational knowledge with a focus on process centric methodologies (Six Sigma green belt, preferred)
* Exceptional verbal and written communicator
* Strong business acumen and judgment
* Program management and project management experience
* Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
